The goal of the Quilt GENI Working Group is to
provide a forum for Quilt members supporting GENI connections to share
information with other participants on the project and provide updates on
connections within their Regions. The Working Group also functions as a point of
contract for other GENI project participants such as researchers, campuses,
national R&E backbone providers and the GPO to request and access information
about Regional R&E networks. The
working group aims to:
Provide
a forum for regional networks to exchange information with peers on Spiral 1
connections -
Provide
a regional networks point of contact for GENI project participants
-
Collect
and distribute information about regional networks to GENI project
participants
-
Manage
the role of regionals in establishing project connections
-
Provide
input to the GPO on future GENI solicitations
